Happy New Year dear reader!

Thanks for visiting SoulBoosters and welcome on board! This is a second part series that builds on from the first reflection post on Mount Kenya - this read drives you through the logistical route this time round -  enjoy the ride!

This post aims to add more insights to both new and seasoned hikers by taking you through the what, how, who and cost considerations - what do you look out for if you're a newbie? What can you do differently or additionally if you're a seasoned individual hiker and/or a hike group leader?

With Mount Kenya as a goal (and return) destination for many, and probably it is in your bucket list this year too, this article takes a deep dive into this mountain as a case example and sheds more light on the logistical details you'd be wise to loop in - I start by sharing details on the overall and daily routes and statistics for the hike trip I was on. Next, I offer reflections on what to look out for in a Mount Kenya (or any other high-altitude) hike group, as well as reasonable cost tips that ultimately determine if you can sustain your hiking habit and move more (beyond that one trip that has a hefty price tag and leaves your travel finances drained for many months).

After checking out the post, i'd be keen to learn from you:

For those who have been to Mount Kenya (or other similar high-altitude mountains):

(1) Are there other things you'd advise one to look out for in a hike group?

(2) What would you still like to get to do next time when at Mount Kenya (that you didn't get to do last time)?

(3) Would you have any other advice for aspiring mountain hikers?

For the aspiring mountain hikers, what else would you like to know that SoulBoosters hasn't yet informed you on?

For any improvement suggestions, tech-related issues you may encounter while here, any other general questions etc, feel free to directly reach out by email on soulboostersmoves@gmail.com
